Helping children and women in Kansas City & Overland Park find steadiness during seasons of change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Play Therapist, and a Certified AutPlay Therapist with advanced training in EMDR and Theraplay. I specialize in supporting children, teens, women, and families as they navigate emotional challenges and developmental transitions with greater regulation, resilience, and clarity.
My professional path began as an elementary school teacher. Watching children’s faces light up when they learned something new taught me the power of support and connection. Over time, I noticed how many students and families struggled with anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation; challenges that inspired me to become a therapist.
As a mom of daughters with anxiety and ADHD, I understand how complex it can feel to find the right support. That lived experience shapes my compassionate, client-centered approach.
I pursued advanced training as a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider to better serve neurodivergent children. As a Certified Play Therapist, I use play-based, developmentally informed techniques to help children express what they cannot yet put into words. EMDR and Theraplay provide tools to process difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and support regulation for both children and adults.
While much of my work centers on children and families, I also provide menopause-informed therapy for women in Kansas City and Overland Park. Perimenopause and menopause often coincide with other life transitions: parenting changes, caregiving, relationships, or career shifts, and can bring increased anxiety, mood variability, brain fog, or a quiet sense of feeling unlike yourself.
Walking this stage of life myself, I combine professional expertise and lived wisdom to provide compassionate, steady support. Together, we focus on understanding what’s happening, building coping strategies, and strengthening emotional regulation; helping you feel grounded, clear, and confident in this next chapter.
