Kids have always been at the heart of my life. Before becoming a counselor, I spent years as an elementary school teacher, and my favorite moments were watching children’s faces light up when they learned something new—especially that magical moment when they realized they could read all on their own.

During my time in the classroom, I also began to notice how many students and families were struggling with mental health challenges. As a mom, I saw it firsthand when my own daughters experienced anxiety and ADHD. I understood how hard it could be to find the right support, even with caring school counselors and social workers doing their best to help so many kids at once.

That realization inspired me to shift my path. I went back to school and became a Licensed Professional Counselor, focusing my work on supporting children and families. Because helping kids is truly my passion, I pursued advanced training and became a Certified Play Therapist. I also earned certification as a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider to better serve children who are neurodivergent.

In addition, I am a Level 1 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist and a Level 1 Theraplay therapist. These approaches allow me to help children process difficult experiences, strengthen attachment, and build emotional regulation in playful, meaningful ways.

Every day, I feel grateful to do this work—to create a safe, welcoming space where children can heal, grow, and feel deeply seen and valued for who they are.
