At Beyond Tomorrow Counseling, I work to make therapy as convenient and effective as possible. Weekly sessions are often recommended to support consistent progress, but I tailor the schedule to fit your goals, pace, and family needs.
Session lengths:
Individual counseling & play therapy: 45 minutes
EMDR sessions: 60 minutes or longer
Scheduling options:
A variety of appointment times are available throughout the week.
Many clients reserve a consistent weekly slot (same day, same time).
If your preferred time isn’t available right away, you can start at another time and move to your preferred slot once it opens.
After-school slots are in high demand; families who have been waiting are given first choice when they become available.
I strive to make scheduling flexible so you can focus on therapy without added stress.
The initial intake appointment lasts 50–60 minutes and gives us time to:
Discuss your concerns
Review important background information
Go over practice policies
This session lays the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship and ensures therapy is tailored to your unique needs.
For Children (Play Therapy Clients):
You’ll provide a full picture of your child’s emotional, developmental, and behavioral history
Together, we’ll discuss current concerns and begin creating a treatment plan specific to your child
Important: Children should not attend this session, and Beyond Tomorrow Counseling does not provide childcare, please make arrangements in advance.
For Teens:
Format varies by age and family preference:
Parent-only portion, followed by teen participation
Or full session including the teen
We’ll review emotional and behavioral history, discuss concerns, and begin setting therapy goals
This flexible approach ensures both teens and parents feel heard
You’ll receive guidance when scheduling so you’ll know whether your teen should attend.
For Adults:
Intake focuses on your concerns, life history, and goals for therapy
We’ll review relevant background information and begin identifying treatment goals
The session is centered on you, your story, and creating a supportive path forward
I understand that life happens, sometimes illness strikes or schedules unexpectedly overlap. However, please remember that your session time is reserved just for you. Without notice, I'm unable to offer that time to another client.
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please contact me directly with any scheduling concerns.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend your scheduled session (no-show), you will be billed the full session fee. I will do our best to reschedule your appointment within the same week if an opening is available.
Your communication helps me support all of our clients effectively. Thank you for being thoughtful and respectful of this policy.

Good Faith Estimate:
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your mental health care.
This estimate reflects the reasonably expected charges for services based on your presenting concerns and the anticipated frequency of sessions, which will be discussed during the intake process. It is available upon request and is provided to help you plan for the cost of care.
Please note:
The estimate does not include unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.
It does not cover additional services or referrals that may be recommended.
It excludes fees such as late cancellations or no-show charges.
The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to receive services.
If you are billed for more than the amount listed in your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. You may request:
A revised bill that reflects the original estimate, or
A negotiation of the bill through a dispute resolution process.
