Starting therapy can bring relief and uncertainty. My goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and straightforward from your very first contact.
Starting therapy can bring relief and uncertainty. My goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and straightforward from your very first contact.
At Beyond Tomorrow Counseling, I strive to make therapy both consistent and sustainable. Weekly sessions are often recommended to support steady progress, though scheduling is tailored to your goals, pace, and family needs.
Session Lengths
Individual counseling & play therapy: 45 minutes
EMDR sessions: 60 minutes or longer, depending upon clinical needs
Scheduling Options
A variety of appointment times are available throughout the week.
Many clients reserve a consistent weekly time (same day, same time).
If your preferred time is not immediately available, you may begin at another time and transition when an opening becomes available.
After-school appointments are in high demand. Families who have been waiting are given first opportunity when those slots open.
My goal is to provide a scheduling structure that supports progress while minimizing additional stress for you and your family. While scheduling creates consistency, the intake session is where we begin creating connection. This first meeting allows space for your story, your concerns, and the goals that will guide our work together.
The initial intake session lasts approximately 50–60 minutes. This time allows us to:
Discuss your concerns
Review relevant background information
Explain practice policies and expectations
Begin identifying treatment goals
This session lays the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship and ensures your care is personalized and intentional.
Parents provide a comprehensive overview of their child’s emotional, developmental, and behavioral history.
We explore current concerns and begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs.
Please note: Children do not attend the initial intake session. Beyond Tomorrow Counseling does not provide childcare, so arrangements should be made in advance.
The intake structure varies depending on age and family preference:
A parent-only portion followed by teen participation
Or a full session including both teen and parent
We will review emotional and behavioral history, discuss current concerns, and begin clarifying therapy goals. Guidance will be provided at the time of scheduling so you know what to expect.
For Adults
The intake session centers on you. Your concerns, life history, and goals for therapy. We will review relevant background information and begin outlining a supportive, forward-focused treatment plan.
As we begin working together, consistency plays an important role in meaningful progress. Clear scheduling and financial policies help protect your dedicated session time and ensure steady, reliable care for all clients.
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. When cancellations occur without notice, that time cannot be offered to another client.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments (no-shows), will be charged the full session fee. If availability permits, I will do my best to reschedule you within the same week.
Thank you for respecting this policy and helping ensure consistent care for all clients.
Transparent financial policies are an important part of informed care. The following outlines session fees and payment expectations so you can plan with clarity and confidence.
Initial Assessment (50–60 minutes): $150
45-Minute Therapy Session: $125
Additional fees may apply for extended sessions or specialized services.

The estimate:
Does not include unexpected costs that may arise during treatment
Does not include additional services or referrals
Does not include late cancellation or no-show fees
Is not a contract and does not obligate you to continue services
If you are billed more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. For more information, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises
